    ST8002 does not have Autotack!

          Comments about Raymarine ST8002 Plus Surface Mount Control Head:

          I purchased one of these units for my sailboat after reading the Raymarine liturature and the specs from several vendors, including Defender. Once i had it on my boat i discovered that there is NO AUTOTACK even though the manual says it does on page 1. Now i seem to be stuck with an expensive unit that has less features than the ST7002. Raymarine seems to want to sweep this issue under the rug. The dealers and installers i have talked to are surprised to find this out! wouldn't you think that Raymarine would notify them that this feature is not available on the ST8002 and that the sales liturature is in error?
