Comments about Jabsco Manual Pump Assembly For 29090-Series:
Since there are suggestions about how to write this review, I will follow the list of:
1)How you use the product
2)Things that are great about it
3)Things that aren't so great about it
1) I use this item to pump poop and pee into my holding tank.
2) the 'Great thing' is that is seems to stop the backflow of poop and pee from going back in the bowl after someone pumps it toward the holding tank (the pipe is about three feet long and would tend to fill the bowl back up with poop and pee)
3)The 'Things that aren't so great' are that people have to read how to pump their poop and pee into the holding tank. (It's not as intuitive as Jabsco thinks it is for the non-boater.)
If I were to review this under my guidelines, I would say...
"This item installed quite easily. I pumped lots and lots of water through the original valve before I started changing it and vacuumed out the remainder of water before beginning. I was able to replace the joker valve without having to change the housing, so I didn't have to re-clamp everything.
So far, it has worked as advertised and kept my backflow issue from happening. If it works as well as it does now in a year from now, I would certainly recommend it.
