I plug the pump into the cigarette lighter on my truck. We use the pump and a barrel of water to water several flower beds located a quarter mile from the house. I also water 3000 sq. ft. of new grass on a dam a half mile away. I pump water right from the lake for that. Without the pump I wouldn't have been able to keep the new grass alive.
I was prepared to be disappointed at the flow and output pressure from this pump but it's great - better than I get out of hoses on my home water lines.
I run it for more than an hour at a time and have had no problems with overheating.
I haven't found anything I don't like about the pump.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
