THIS UNIT HAS BETTER TECHNOLOGY THAN THE SHIP'S EPIRB WE HAVE ON BOARD. EVERYBODY ON THE SHIP WANTS TO GO IN MY LIFEBOAT IF WE EVER HAVE TO ABANDON SHIP.

Comments about ACR AquaFix 406 Personal Locator Beacon w/ Onboard GPS:
I'm 6'4" 250lbs so when I read 'fits in palm of hand' I was thinking I could wear it comfortably on my hydrostatic inflatable PFD when going solo (frequently). In size and weight it is a 12 oz can of soda on your webbing. About 1/2-1/3 size of the GPS/EPIRB already on your boat. Oh well, safety first. Points for good technology.
