I have four of these pumps in my Skeeter ZX225. I have had to replace all of them within a 6 year period. I really have no complaints!!! They are easy enough to install and for the price of the replacement cartridges you can't go wrong. I do recommend checking them from time to time and flushing any sand or dirt out of the housing that might damage the impeller.

I bought my boat new in 2000 and had to replace the pump after a year or two. I replace the pump with the Rule 500 GPH pump and I get about 3 years or more out of it. I buy 2 or more at a time because the price is very good. I have had other suppliers quote me a price at almost double. You should have a spare or two on hand anyway when you own a boat IMO. This pump is very easy to change even if you are out on water.

My boat has 4 of these pumps on the livewell system. All 4 have been replaced with 2 being replaced twice. My boat is 5 years old and these are the worst pumps made. If I could, I would completely change the pumps out but when changing the housings it is a real problem. I have had these on other boats with no problems, the newer model pumps appear to be the problem. I always carry a spare to tournaments, just in case.

I have replaced the rule pump 5 times now (2007 Skeeter). In Louisiana, Rule went to a bigger, more $$$ pump. The only place I could find 2 extra's to make it through this season is Boaters World. Attwood is all you see now on the shelves and everyone is changing to them due to the performance of rule.

Easy to replace, just squeeze the two white clips and rotate. Pump was easily replaced in less than a minute. Note: The power and ground wires did not come with any electrical connections so you have to crimp on your own connectors before (or after) installing the pump.
