The best thing this radio has in design is when it gets turned off and then turned back on it is still on the last channel that you used. This saves a lot of time. We have three of these radios, one in the boat, one as a base station, and one in our vehicle and they are flawless, durable, and exhibit plenty of power when we really need to reach a long range.

This radio, along with an 8' antenna transmits through miles of high cliff canyons. The features are great, and the price is too, good. A great investment for your boat.
