Definately suprised by tone/quality of sound in such a small system. I looked/listened carefuly to many different speakers for my IPOD, most that sounded resonable well were in the $100 range, more than what I wanted to spend for my camping trips.

This unit will not break your ear drums, but I did think the sound was lound enough and better than expected. You'll have to be within a 15ft range to hear the full sound. Good size for portable unit.

The best review for these speaker is the fact that you can;t find them ANYWHERE. Don't get me wrong the kids will not be waking the neighbors with these but, they are great for a bedroom or office when you don't want to wear headphones.
Set the alarm on your Ipod and they double as an alarm clock.
