I bought this because I had a Sony handycam and the duo stick would not fit into my computer slot. This made it so much easier to view and download images to my computer without all the cords. I can also use any other sd card or whatever which is especially desirable because of the older laptop I use that runs great but doesn't have the convenient slots.
