Based on one-piece U.S.A. made blanks, the new Ugly Stik Custom rod series offers a complete selection of saltwater fishing rods with actions tailored to produce winning results and powerful fights. Using an exclusive Howald Process Double-Built blank, Shakespeare incorporated an E-glass outer construction over a graphite core. The result are fishing rods that are lightweight yet retain superior strength. Each rod features a custom hand-wound diamond wrap, blank-through-handle construction, fully underwrapped guides and full epoxy outer coatings for extra protection from UV rays. Spinning and Casting rods feature graphite reel seats with cushioned stainless hoods, comfortable foam fore grips and Fuji aluminum oxide guides. Stand-Up rods feature Stuart aluminum reel seats, gimbals, Fuji "turbo" style intermediate guides and AFTCO roller stripper and tip-top guides. In addition, stand-up models feature Shakespeares PowerButt graphite hard butt for easy removal from rod holders. USCB1180XH rod features stainless steel wire "twist" guides and is designed for Tarpon fishing in Florida. Each rod features the Ugly Back 60 day / 5 year limited warranty.
