Comments about ACR GlobalFix 406 MHz EPIRB with GPS:

Our 53' Hatteras sportfisher went down early one January morning at 4:00 AM off of the coast of NC. The captain and his friend had no time for a mayday call, but did grab the ACR 406 EPIRB. That is the ONLY reason why the coast guard located one of them. Now that they have added the GPS coordinates to this product, it should improve CG response time and save even more lives. Nothing is more important than your safety equipment, DO NOT buy cheap equipment.
