Watermaker/desalination units contain reverse osmosis membranes (RO) that are adversely affected by hydrocarbon pollution. Even the slightest bit of oil or gasoline sheen can irreparably damage the fragile reverse osmosis membranes causing them to cease functioning requiring costly replacement. The Watermaker Protection System utilizes MYCELX infused filters to capture all hydrocarbon pollution before it can enter the RO matrix. The Watermaker systems can safely be operated in ports and marinas without fear of catastrophic failure. Includes bracket, mounting screws, 1/2" barb fittings for installation.
