The Garmin Marine Network
The Garmin Marine Network is a proprietary ethernet-based network that seamlessly connects several plug-and-play marine components, delivering position data, charting, weather, sonar, radar and other important data to boaters' fingertips. The entire system is waterproof and completely plug-and-play. Anchors of the new system are the GPSMAP 3010C and GPSMAP 3006C chartplotters. These multifunction displays (MFDs) automatically detect any and all peripherals once they're connected. Boaters can connect a GPS antenna and one remote sensor directly to the MFD, or, with the addition of the GMS 10 Network Port Expander, users can connect multiple MFDs and sensors to the same network. Each networked MFD can be configured independently.
Seamless Integration
When using the Garmin Marine Network, mariners have complete awareness of what's happening around them. By adding various marine components, boaters can integrate position data, charting, weather, sonar, radar, and other important data to their system.
Easy-to-use
The Garmin Marine Network is completely plug-and-play and is anchored by the GPSMAP 3006C and GPSMAP 3010C: Two multifunction displays (MFDs) that have customizable screens. Garmin's user-friendly operation ensures even novice boaters can operate the system with confidence. The MFDs automatically detect any and all peripherals once they're connected. The same network cable is used for both unit-to-unit and unit-to-network connections.
Expandable
Boaters can connect a GPS antenna and one remote sensor directly to the MFD, or, with the addition of the GMS 10 Network Port Expander, users can connect multiple MFDs and sensors to the same network. Each networked MFD can be configured independently.
