| Multi-Coating improves overall quality of filter by correcting for refractive properties of the filter glass. With multi-coated glass your photos will look sharper and have more contrast. The Skylight filter corrects for bluish light quality of open shade but most people use it to protect their lens from dust and scratches. Will also absorb ultra violet rays without affecting exposure. |

Comments about Quantaray 1A Multi-Coated Filter:
I really liked this product. It really makes a difference in my photos. The only problem (then again, not really a problem) is it gives you photos a warm tent. Now this is nice for shade, but not in sunsets or inside. Either way, still a good protector for my lens and I would definitely buy another one.

Comments about Quantaray 1A Multi-Coated Filter:
This is the best accessory that you can invest in for your camera. In addition to the protection it provides, this filter will improve the quality of the photographs that you take immensely. Your lens(es) all cost at least [$]each. It is well worth it to spend a few bucks on a filter to protect your lens investment. As an extra added bonus you'll get even better pictures. I use this lens on my Nikon D40. It is the best investment in my camera that I've made so far (better than the extra battery or the 4GB SD card). Get one of these filters for each lens that you own plus a backup for when you damage one right now. Don't delay.
