The Iso-Boost is essential where long dock runs cause voltage drop or where dockside voltage fluctuates. The Iso-Boost is essential for the protection of onboard equipment sensitive to voltage fluctuations, especially motor-driven equipment (Air conditioning, refrigerators, etc). Includes all of the benefits and features of the Charles isolation transformers including: isolation of the boat from potential shore-side power hazards including surges, spikes and transients, onboard protection of AC electrical/electronic products from shore, elimination of the need for galvanic isolators and polarity alarms. The Iso-Boosts internal circuitry has the ability to automatically sense voltage and adjust output. When in the "boost" mode, the isolated output is increased by 15% to supply added power in the event of low voltage. Mechanically interlocked contactors automatically switch between normal and ''boost'' modes providing a highly efficient voltage transition. The Iso-Boost enables the operation of 240V system/equipment from 208V dock supplied power. Design features include: corrosion-resistant materials, fully encapsulated transformer, over-voltage protection, anodized aluminum enclosures, Marine UL Listed. 50 amp and 100 amp models available. Charles suggests the use of a strain relief kit with this unit to protect wires and connections. Mfr.s one year limited warranty, made in the USA.
