MAKE SURE YOU CUT THE COMPOSITE PIECE JUST SHORT ENOUGH SO THAT YOUR MOUNT WILL STILL LOCK DOWN. IF YOU GET IT TOO SHORT, YOU CAN ADD A FEW QUARTERS INSIDE THE RUBBER BOOT TO ACT AS SPACERS. THE IDEA IS TO KEEP THE HEAD OF TROLLING MOTOR FROM MOVING. MOUNT THE VELCRO STRAP AS CLOSE TO THE FOOT AS POSSIBLE, THIS WILL OFFER THE BEST RESULTS.
