My wife got this from Boaters World for me for Christmas and was told it was the correct Hydro foil for a Mercury 125 nothing else needed. Went to install it and the thing fit like a glove with the template. The first two holes were drilled (front) went to drill back set of holes and no acess for a drill. I sure do not want to drill from underneath. What do I do?

I installed this on my 19' Mako center console with 150 Mercury Offshore. Short hole shots, hard cornering with minimal loss in speed were the norm. Only con was as I trimmed out to increase speed and throttle back, the boat began to porpoise. As I trimmed in porpoising stopped. Otherwise an excellent product!!

I have a 1971 24ft searay with a hard top it"s a
heavy boat I always had a hard time get it to plane out and when I did I lost alot of speed from the trim tabs in the water I put a hydrofoil 300 on and it's the best thing I did I don"t even have to use my trim tabs any more and I picked up at least 5 mph

I have the hydrofoil on a 21' Maxum with a v-6. The top end speed increased.. but plaining was very quick.. which was good due to always having 6 to 10 ppl on my boat. I have a new 23' Chaparral with a V8 & that boat will definately get one of these in the spring.

Had problems getting/staying on plane with 4 adults onboard and pulling the tube. Put the hydrofoil on and will plane out with trim in mid position and not even half throttle. Virtually eliminated porpoising in heavier seas (within reason).

I PUT THIS ON MY 18' BOAT I/O ENGINE AND IT WORKS GREAT! THE BOAT TURNS SHARPER AND SMOOTHER. TOP END SPEED HAS INCREASED AS WELL AS THE THE TIME IT TAKE TO GET THE BOAT ON PLANE. Had a smaller motor with a similar product that worked good. Upgraded my 22' Trophy to a 200 hp Optimax and had problems trolling - boat was riding too low in back at low speed so thought this item would work like it did on the smaller motor. It Didn't and caused severe cavitation at anything under 2000 rpm. It did nothing to trim the boat any better than than the standard tilt/trim adjustments on the motor. Had it checked at a local boat shop and was told that this is a common problem with larger boats and that my installation was correct. Was Also told there is nothing that can be done with it to stop the severe cavitation short of just removing the foil completely, which I have since done.

I purchased this item at the recommendation of a friend. He had recently installed one on his boat and was impressed with the performance. With a price tag under $50.00 I said why not. It was relatively easy to install and took less than an hour. Hardest part was keeping all the washers lined up between the hydrofoil and the cavitation plate. First time out I noticed better stability, WOT top speed increased by 9mph and getting on plane was quick. Fuel consumption was greatly reduced. After extended use the sticker came off, that is the only bad thing I can say. Bottom line, you gotta try this.

Best value for adding performance to any boat/motor. Easier and faster plane. Better handling. All around excellent performance enhancer for the cost. As I am sure you know, marine everything is expensive, this is the absolutely most inexpensive performance enhancer for marine applications on the market and you will definitely notice an improvement first use.
