Comments about SeaSense SeaSense Heavy Duty Winch Strap 2-1/2"X 24':

This strap replaced a small wire rope cable that would kink up. The 2.5" strap is what I needed and it was difficult to find. Boaters World came through and I am happy with the product.

This is a great product. Had to re-think how I use my winch though. I used to pull out my cable and hang it on the trailer when preparing to haul boat out. Cable always got wet(with salt water)but could be rinsed off. Did this a couple times with the strap and found that as the boat was winched onto the trailer, the tension on the winch strap squeezed out salt water all over the drum and caused it to rust. Now I keep it out of the water so it spools up dry. Problem solved.

Nice upgrade for a hard working winch.

Comments about SeaSense SeaSense Heavy Duty Winch Strap 2-1/2"X 24':

My old winch cable was kinked and starting to fray--dangerous. This product is neat and clean, the strap always feeds smoothly, and it has plenty of strength for my application.
I disconnect the strap from the bow eye when I'm not towing, to release the constant tension on both the bow eye and the winch strap. I also keep the winch covered to prevent UV degredation of the nylon strap.
I'm very pleased with this winch strap, and I expect it to last a long time.
