Have replaced these 3 times on two different power cords. The powerwinch uses a considerable amount of power when running. This plug connects the 6 Ga wire from the truck battery to the winch via a screw lock wire nut. Just insert wire, turn srew to lock. BUT!!!! the nuts connect to the plug via a small (guessing 14 ga) soldered wire. That is what constantly breaks. you have 12 vlts, but not enough to run winch!

EVERY TIME I UPGRADE MY TRUCK OR WINCH COMBO, I ALWAYS USE THIS SOCKET. WORKS WELL AND NEVER FAILS. I ALSO USE IT TO QUICKLY HOOK UP SALT SPREADERS IN THE WINTER

My package was sealed - but did not come with the 3 screws that attach the cover to the base unit. Apparently Power Stench is too cheap to include the screws....
