Don't waste your money. The bottle didn't break for three tries. When it did break, glass went everywhere after the bag broke and left three dings in the hull of my boat You would be better to buy a velvet gift bottle holder and a cheap bottle of champagne.
Comments about Galleyware Galleyware Christening Bottle:
We had a christening party for our boat with children and adults present neither of which we wanted to spray with sticky champagne or glass and this bottle broke perfectly, is not sticky and all the pieces stayed in the mesh bag. I highly recommend this product for a safe christening on any size vessel.
Comments about Galleyware Galleyware Christening Bottle:
Purchased 12 bottles for our Yacht Club. They work fine, break easily and broken glass is contained in the mesh bag. My only complaint is we ordered a dozen and they came individually packaged in two HUGE I mean HUUUGE boxes with tons of packing pellets. I'd hope a Marine oriented supplier would be a little more enviriomentaly sensitive.
Comments about Galleyware Galleyware Christening Bottle:
I was skeptical given a negative reivew I read about how difficult the bottle was to break so we bought two - one to practice with. The bottle comes scored around the bottom - just hit the centerline of the hull anywhere below the bow. Worked perfectly - if we knew it would work as well as it did, we would have saved the practice bottle for a toast afterward!
Comments about Galleyware Galleyware Christening Bottle:
buyer beware...this is not a plastic easy to break bottle. after 3 good swings on the boat, 2 dents and a broken piece of trim, we finally hit it with a monkey wrench. the bottle then broke almost cutting the captains finger off. i contacted boaters world.com abd they said they would change the description, but they havent so i decided to add my own.
