I got what I expected and the item was a perfect match for my rod holders. The price was a little too high, but I needed it anyway.

Comments about Roberts Roberts Side Mount Black Sm34:

This product is perfect for mounting on a round 1 inch boat railing and works very well for its intended purpose, however, the plastic cracks after a short period of time. I would suggest to the manufacturer that either a more durable plastic be used with this design or make the item entirely out of solid material to prevent cracking (it is hollowed-out in the back and the plastic is somewhat thin). For what they cost, one would believe the quality would be much better.
