Made from a heavy duty white polycarbonate with UV protectant built in. This particular rod holder includes a gear lock mounting base and a dual position locking ring. The ring opens with a snap so the rod is fingertip ready at all times and you are able to set the hook while the rod is still in the rod holder. Great for trolling or just bottom fishing. Fits most rod and reel combos. Includes side mount.

There needs to be a Left/Right model so they can be mounted on either side of the boat with equal clearance.
Also, if you use a reel seat clamp, they're simply not wide enough.
A Penn 500 won't fit with clamps.
The good news is, you can simply close the locking mechanism and they're as good as any "tube" style holder. Since they swivel, they're better!
