Comments about Rule Rule Bilge Pump:

Rule-500 pump: The impeller shafts are made of carbon steel, or a very low-grade stainless. Rust thru in less than six months. I have used these pumps for over 25 years. But, the last couple of years, the quality has gone. If you depend on a pump for your bilge or bait tank, get something else.

Comments about Rule Rule Bilge Pump:

My boat came equipped with the Rule 1100 and the pump is a very good value as it lasted 4 yrs. To replace this pump is very easy. The pump runs very quietly.

This pump doesn't need a social security# to work and I don't have to press 1 for English. How can you beat that?

Comments about Rule Rule Bilge Pump:

The studs that attached the top pump section to the base broke while attaching top of pump to the base. there was very little force applied and the studs broke leaving me with the base screwed down but the top of the pump cannot be attached now. Note: I am very good with tools and was disappointed in the fragile way this pump broke. I will now have to buy a good pump and with a strong base that can be handled without fear of breaking a very bad system of connecting studs that are very badly designed and apparently not tested prior to manufacture.
