Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:
Skeptical that it would work on D Cell batteries. Wrong. It is fantastic. Drained a full canoe and kept on going. I wish there was a way to attach a hose on the intake so you could get into small places, but this is minor.
Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:
This is a great item to have, very usefull in pumping out water from a dingy. Sure you can use a manual pump to do that but try using a manual pump while controling an outboard in rough seas. I used this pump in such a condition when my inflatable devolped a small water leak. I was an hour away from my sailboat and the sea were choppy. Had I only the manual pump I would have had to stop every 10 to 15 minutes and pump. But with this little wonder I just reached down and fliped it it on and focused on steering/navigation my dingy back home, items in the boat including me stayed nice and dry. It does use batteries, three D size, these last 6 hrs. more or less depending on brand and type.

No more bailing! This pump removes the rainwater efficiently and quickly.
Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:
Works very well for my 12 ft boat and also for my salt water aquarium. For a battery operated device it really pumps out water very fast.
Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:
Works fine, until the water level reaches about 1/2", then it makes a valiant effort but fails. Bring a towel.
Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:
It is a good pump, however, the hose is not long enough.
Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:
Not enough power to pump from a low bilge up and out over the side of a larger boat
Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:

Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:
We have a collection of small boats on a private lake. Until now, we have always had a pump that required an outlet, extension cord, and attatchable hoses. This small unit delivers all the power that is necessary without the incovenience of cords. Moreover, it is light weight and easy to move and assemble.
Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:
USING TO PUMP OUT SMALL BOAT, I REALLY LIKE THE PORTABILITY OF THE UNIT. HOWEVER, IT WOULD BE BETTER IF IT HAD AN INLET/SUCTION LINE ENABELING PUMPING OF SMALLER AREAS AND UNEVEN FLOORING/BOTTOMS. THIS IS MY SECOND PUMP OF THIS MODEL, THE FIRST UNIT WAS USED FOR 6 MONTHS OR SO AND BECAME INOPERABLE EVEN WITH NEW BATTERIES.

Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:
I bought my first Waterbuster pump from a gardening catalog which recommends it for draining artificial ponds. I went on to use it to periodically for bailing a skiff which tends to get caught against our pier during windy tides. I put a "knee-high" stocking over it to avoiding sediment getting inside. The pump has amazed me at how smoothly it works and how little energy it draws to do the job. I have also used it to remove water from a spot where it collects next to my foundation, during heavy rains. Next summer I may use it to help with using rainwater for irrigation to my small garden.
Pros--quiet, efficient, moderate pump rate; makes nasty jobs a lot quicker and easier than simple bailing.
Cons--not remote control--you have to get close to the problem to turn it on, and must turn off before it runs dry.
It has been very satisfactory for my purposes. the internal battery holder is hard plastic and broke when I dropped it, so I'm buying 2 replacements.

Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:
I have used my water buster as a shower. When I go camping, hunting over the weekend boating, I always bring my waterbuster....I bring along extrawater so that I or family and sometimes friends can take a shower. I bring also a 5 gallon clean bucket and a hand held lawn water sprayer. I preheat the water and fill the 5 gallon bucket with warm water and attach the lawn sprayer to the pumps waterline. Then we do navy showers turn on the pump and wet down, soap up and rinse off. It works great

Comments about Attwood Attwood Waterbuster Cordless Pump:
Is useful for boating and around the house. Needed something to pump water away from the house during a fast snowmelt. This unit works great! Not mentioned in the initial information received was that it would function as a siphon, too. It's not necessary to keep the pump running on its batteries. Place it in a bucket or old ice chest on a higher level than the end of a garden hose, run the pump for a minute or so, then shut it off. It will continue to siphon water until it loses suction. I put a valve between the pump's hose and the 15 ft. garden hose to regulate the flow of water, and it siphons all day.
