Brand: Rapala
Located in: plugs/hard baits
The Rapala Sliver was originally designed as a fast needlefish lure, primarily for tuna. Fishermen have found it equally effective for many other varieties of game fish as well, especially when speed trolling. It's also considered a lethal weapon on the Great Lakes. When you're trolling at speed, try the Sliver, it's a real producer. Rigged with two treble hooks.

Comments about Rapala Rapala Sliver Needlefish Lure:

I always carry several sliver if I'm going to be near saltwater. It's my go to lure when I'm not sure what to use. Cast from the shore or trolled they always run straight and get down a little farther than most similar lures and are very effective. I've caught bluefish, striper, grouper and big baracuda and have never had to throw one away because it got too beat up. I usually remove the front treble hook or replace the trailing hook with a single dressed hook to reduce the chance of cutting up a hooked fish and to make releasing easier.
