The swivel part of the chair depends on a fluted shaft turning inside of a plastic bushing. This is a very poor design making the chair stiff for no good reason. Would gladly have paid more for a better design. Overall, a very good buy. Very comfortable, and functional. Slider works great.

nice chair, price has went up [$]since I got one. armrests are too low, I plan to add a few inches and re-set the pads atop the new height on the armrests.
