Dont waste your money. This product is poorly designed and will not provide enough vacuum to remove the oil from a boat even after the boat has been warmed. I followed the instructions provide to the letter and this product did not work. This is a piece of garbage....dont waste your money, buy a better unit. As said before "you get what you pay for".

I felt the best when I threw it in the garbage can. Could not get it to prime. Also made a mess trying to get the pump primed. Might work good for other uses, not for changing the oil.

This unit does not draw enough vacuum to remove oil from an engine, even after warming. Completely ineffective for real world use. Don't waste your money. I did not want to invest much in an oil changer, but often you get what you pay for. I ended up buying a motorized, completely self-contained unit for about $120. Should have known better from the beginning as the new unit saves significant time and eliminates much frustration.

Oil drain tube to pump connection is poorly design. As the instructions predict, you will damage the impeller. I did during the first oil change.

[...] it supposedly didn't work. ???People must not be following instructions!It worked perfect, sucked every bit of oil from my engine, no mess, no oil pans, no laying on my back. From Engine to recycle container for the curb in one step. EASY! I did what the instuctions said, put a little oil in the intake side to get started, warmed up the engine. Worked like a charm. I ran it initally got most of the oil.Once again after sitting, and again after changing the filter. Sucked up every last drop.Used a battery operated drill from Sears. Worked as advertised.

I used this pump to change the oil in my Mercedes Benz.I removed 8 Qts of oil,changed the filter and refilled all in less than 20 mins thanks to this handy product.
