Comments about Malibu Kayaks Malibu Kayaks X-Factor Kayak:

This is THE fishing kayak. The weight capacity of the X Factor is nearly double it's competitors. It does weigh a few pounds more, but it tracks straight even without a ridder a little lean gets you started in the turns. I've paddled small tree strewn streams, medium rivers with ClassII rapids, and hurricane induced swells off the NC Coast. The X Factor has a huge hatch on the bow, and another two within perfect reach of the cockpit. one between the paddlers legs, and another right behind the seat, which is at a 45deg angle, perfect for storing fishing rods while negotiating the surf. Rods are easy to pull out after you get through the breakers.

I CANNOT turn this boat over from a seated position. I have while standing( on purpose) When I first got the X Factor, I took it to my local lake to see what she would do.

She is heavy, but Malibu has a lifetime guarantee on their hulls. If you break it you ship it to them($100) they send it back either fixed or brand new.

With a weight capacity of 625lbs, my X factor is the mothership for camping/fishin expeditions, plenty of room for tents sleeping bags and food. The tank well is HUGE.

I can't say enough about this kayak.
