WE are brand new kayakers. We saw this one and just had to have it. Its so stable and easy to use. Even our dog loves it. We call it the little yellow banana,,,,,,its a keeper

I live aboard a moored sailboat and use this kayak to travel back and forth to shore with several dogs and gear. It is stable enough for my 90 pound dog to jump on it from the boat and for me to retrieve a dog that has decided to go for a swim by simply allowing it to climb up over the side. I can even stand on it to load gear from the boat without any problem. The load carrying capacity is fantastic. Along with two dogs I can for example carry a large cooler, water jug, and laundry bag without loss of stability (all at the same time). I have paddled this boat in up to 30 knot winds in the harbor without any problem. It tracks perfectly regardless of wind direction without trying to turn upwind or downwind even with my two large dogs standing on it. At the same time it is maneuverable enough to turn perfectly in the tight confines of the dinghy dock. Unlike a rowing dinghy, this kayak can't swamp and won't fill up with water in the rain. I have put complete beginners on it and they have had no problem paddling across the harbor without any instruction. It is even surprisingly fast for its length. It can be easliy reentered from the water if you decide to go for a swim and is even stable upside down (I turn mine over and kneel on it to clean off marine growth). I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a manually propelled dinghy! It is small enough to easily hoist on deck if you want to, but since it can't swamp, you can also easily tow it.

My husband and I use this kayak to transport ourselves and supplies to our sailboat.....he is experienced in kayaking and I am not, so, it has been a very, very good experience using this kayak. It is easy to lift and store. It is easy to pack the things we need and feels VERY stable!!

Actually returned another brand tandem kayak for this one when I saw it - 2 1/2' shorter, lighter and holds 3! Very stable tunnel hull design, good freeboard with turned up bow to handle waves to easily take on the Chesapeake Bay chop. I also have the little Moorea kayak this company makes. Both are simply super functional and durable designs.
I'm already looking for rod holders!
