I use this product by taking a leader and attaching the leader to my main line. I make sure the leader has a swivel on it to hook it around the weighted treble hook. when the hook is attched and I see bunker jumping, i cast it out and snag them.
I think this product comes in use when you have no bait but they are jumping out in the water. The treble hook hooks the bunker and then you have fresh bait for either bluefish or the striped bass.
things i don't like about the product is it easy to get it stuck on the bottom.
