Gamakatsu octopus hooks are needle sharp, hold their point, and are very resistant to rust. I have used Mustad, Owner, and the rest - Gamakatsu hook up more consistently and have a smaller eye, minimizing tearing up the bait when you rig up. I have used most sizes from #1 for Salmon to 9/0 for Halibut; most often I use the double hook leader setup with a 2/0 at the end of the leader and a 3/0 a few inches up. I use Gamakatsu exclusively!
