Comments about Sea Striker Sea Striker 3 Prong Flounder Gig:

This gig is so good I am getting a 2nd 9 footer for my onboard guest...Don't be discourage by the last poster. This is a flounder gig and was never designed to gig a gar.

If you make a head shot in to the gill plate the flounder will not get off.

Go for the 9 foot vs the 8 foot if gigging flounder from a boat.

Comments about Sea Striker Sea Striker 3 Prong Flounder Gig:

Bought this stainless gig upgrading from my cheap bamboo pole with steel gig tip. First night I gigged about 7 Tilapia, and 5 Gar. Not a single one of these made it into the boat. I hit every one square, and tried lifting as normal - but the barbs on this gig are too small and do not stick. I wish I had not left my bamboo gig at home, I would have had every one of those fish in the boat! If you are not into injuring fish for fun, do NOT buy this gig.
