I never had any luck with cast nets, then I saw this net at an expo show. My 10 yr old was throwing it fully open in 5 trys. I have used it for baitfish now for 3 yrs, throwing it up to 20 feet off the dock or bank. If you hold it correctly, will work right every time.

Cant through this from a boat unless you have a 35 foot boat.Net dues not fold must hang to the floor.Good from dock that is it!!

i am 6'3" and i purchased a 6' net thinking it would be a breeze to throw much to my surprise it is nearly impossible to throw. The net works fine if you are throwing it in your driveway but as soon as you hit the waters edge there are to many parrells to contend with. examples tree branches, weeds a large ant hill or anything that sticks up off the ground. i would only suggest buying the 6' net if your name is shaq. or your over 7' tall....
