I used this net on Harbor Island, SC in June, 2008. It is lightweight and moves fast through the water. It worked very well for catching blue crabs along the shore as the tide came in. While the long handle made it hard to pack, the handle length really helped reach the crabs before they scurried away. We caught more than enough crabs for lunch for four people in less than an hour. The net also worked well for catching minnows for bait and landing the fish we caught while surf fishing.
