Our RST Series of boat & trolling rods covers the needs of anglers from inland lakes, bays, inshore and offshore waters. Quality glass blank-thru-butt construction rods have triple wrapped guides: a AFTCO roller stripper & roller tiptop and Chromed stainless steel intermediate guides. Silver Pac Bay machined aluminum reel seat and hoods are attached to a Quick-SetTM butt made from a durable composite material that is comfortable and easy to grip but many times tougher than EVA and abrasion resistant. Instant hook sets are possible due to the ease of removing this rod from a rod holder. All rods have foam foregrips, gimbals and lustrous black blanks with metallic aquamarine, red and gold wraps and multiple coats of epoxy.

Comments about Outer Banks Outfitters Outer Banks Outfitters CS 6640RST:

no better deal for off shore bottom fishing--we now have five of these rods on our charter boat. Handle length is perfect for everyone from large men to women and adolescents. fore grip is large enough that you can hold it while prying a grouper out of the rocks and not have it twist toward the reel handle like a lot of very expensive off shore rods do.
Hands down this is the best grouper rod I have ever fished with--never mind the price--I wouldn't trade these rods for anything from another manufacturer
there is enough sensitivity to use it for mangrove and mutton snapper but this is a grouper or halibut slayer
it also hold up to the abuse of novice fishermen on the charter boat. not a single problem with these rods.
