    I have replaced all of my big oversized tackle and use tackle like the Shimano Trinidad 16 in pursuit of all inshore and offshore saltwater species. This reel has what it takes to whip salmon, halibut, dorado, wahoo, roosterfish, ling cod, etc. effectively and efficiently. I have taken these species and more off the mouth of the Columbia River and off Cabo San Lucas. When a fish runs at you, you have the speed to get the slack out of the line and the drag strength to wear them out. Matched with the right rod and only the biggest bruisers are out of your reach. Ask pro anglers like Mssrs. Dahlberg and Wajebe and you will see this is a reel for you.
