I have used these reels since I was a kid. Just keep them dry and oil them once a year and you are always ready to fish. Easy to use and understand, I just wouldn't buy anything else. I do mostly trolling for salmon with a downrigger. If you are casting, then try something else.

THE BEST TROLLING REELS I HAVE EVER USED, EASY TO MAINTAIN JUST WASH OFF IN SOAPY WATER DRY AND OIL...THEY ARE BUILT SALT WATER TOUGH...AND THEY ARE CHILD PROOF ... I JUST CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS REEL... IT HAS IT ALL...BEST GENERAL PURPOSE REEL EVER BUILT...AND THEY WILL LAST A LIFETIME IF THEY ARE MAINTAINED...WHAT MOORE COULD ANYONE WANT FROM A REEL?
