Okuma continues to search for stronger, smoother materials and functions. The result is the Convector. Start with a revolutionary drag material, Rulidium. This drag balances the two most important qualities in a drag, without sacrificing either - smoothness (needed to keep the hookset in the mouth) and high-end drag pressure (top crank a running fish to the boat or shoreline). These reels have been fitted with quick set anti-reverse, and guaranteeing rock solid hook sets. Other premium features are the machine aluminum spool, 2 sealed stainless bearings and 1 one-way roller bearing and a solid graphite frame.
