Comments about Okuma Okuma Lever Drag Reel:

i have the entire series from Okuma t-10 to the ts 50w II 2 speed, once I tuned them up, serviced them with oil etc. they worked great for big tuna, albies and yellowtail, here on the west coast. once you service them, the drag works great. the only reel i've found ready for big fish right out of the box are Avets...the rest(including LRS reels) need to be serviced before fishing.

Not For Trolling
By Dan The ManVerified Reviewer from Stuart, Florida on 1/20/2007
Pros:
Nothing good to say
Cons:
Bad drag system
Best Uses:
Leave it in the box

Comments about Okuma Okuma Lever Drag Reel:

The drag system doesn't work for trolling! It's either free spool or lots of drag. If you try to set a light drag, it pops out into free spool. Also, cranking gets harder as you apply more drag.
This reel would work for bottom fishing but avoid it if you are trolling.
