We had our gaffs held by a bungee system the boat manufacturer used. They were getting kind of old and ratty and were always some what of a pain to use. We installed the clipper clips and when its time to reach for the gaff it's a one hand one tug operation making it so quick and simple. Returning the gaffs to the stored position is just as easy, no bending down on your knees to mess with the bungees.
