this works good on a boat i caught a big 400lb grouper first you take 3 hooks and put them on each other and put a whole squid on all 3 hooks each should be in a diffrent spot.

These traps are great! Sure metal ones can be nice, but metal traps rust and mess up your boat and gloves, and they are not
cheap if stolen, damaged etc..

You want to load these with an oily fish such as salmon scraps (which you can get free at your local market), it helps them sink
too. If they float on you just place a small stone in the trap.

Give them a good soak. 6 to 8 hours. They should be loaded when you bring them up.

Crawfish love cold water and hiding spaces. Best time to catch them is in the fall or winter, under the docks or near rocks.

Take it from a pro... They Do Work Well!

I used the same galvinized steel trap for years and finally replaced it with this plastic model. It lasted three weeks until one day I went to pull it up and there was nothing on the end of the rope. The plastic clip it was attached to must have snapped.
