I use this anchor for holding the boat on rocky areas. It does what they say it does. However, in a strong current or windy day it is not all that useful.

My other anchor would not dig into the sand in the Gulf or the mud in the bay, but the Mightymite holds my boat without drifting. I can't tell you how many times my wife complained about dropping that old anchor over and over because it wouldn't hold. The Mightymite is easy to pull off structures, and much lighter than my other anchor. My wife doesn't have to pull that old heavy anchor up any more. She was beginning to grumble a little about the old anchor. She's not complaining about me spending money to buy an new anchor any more. This anchor holds every time, on muddy bottoms to oyster beds. I have tried numerous fluke style anchors and wish I had tried this one first. When I read reviews I always wonder if what they are saying is true. Example I Have a 21 ft bay boat and fish swift tidal waters for specks and reds and this anchor is awesome. The barbs will bend if hung in oyster bed by placing boat in reverse and then you just bend them back, IT WORKS.
