Comments about Danforth Danforth Hi Tensile Anchor:
I have had large sail boats (37&40ft) for 40 years and use a 35 lbs Hi-Tensile Danforth at times, a CQR 35lbs at other times. The Danforth holds better in mud. I can tell when I pull it up. It's an excellent choice. You should have multiple anchors anyway. I also carry a Northill.
Comments about Danforth Danforth Hi Tensile Anchor:
The Danforth is almost too good a design. I have lost three of them. They hook up excellent, will not drag and you cannot retrieve them once you are anchored. I wish they were a little bit less expensive. You can get the same results from a far less expensive anchor.
