Coil Cord Deterioration

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments about Icom Icom Command Mic II:
The white coil cord on the command mic handset became yellowish and then the plastic covering disentigrated. Apparently due to exposure to the elements. Electronics work fine but replacement of the cord which was discouraged by authorized service center was half the price of a new command mic and with no warranty.
