We have purchased multi-rider tubes for many years and are typically disappointed in some way about the ability of the tube to weather a summer of sustained lake use. However, the skull tube is the first that presented truly unsafe conditions. When going out of the boat wake (which any but the youngest riders demand!), the riders on the left and right sides bang heads, bang shoulders, snap necks. We had a broken collarbone on first use and during the few times anyone wanted to ride after that, many headaches and bruises. Further, the tube came with a faulty zipper, so the first inflate left us with a flapping pocket--simply not right for that kind of money. I thought the sitting-upright ride would be better on the spine than the prone position on the large flat tubes, but the consequences were severe. I would caution any parent against this tube!

It is a great towable! You can send it out of the wake easily and it comes right back in because of its drag. It's really stable and you will be hard pressed to roll it over when in a fast turn. yet, it still can launch riders into the air over bumps when you double up. Watch a mix of adult and kids though, if the kids let go when launched you have the potential for head bumping. The rumble seat in the back is Kool! Be sure all the zippers are fastened behind the velcro securing straps before you fully inflate it, or you might be letting some air out to re-zip these. It's darn comfortable to lounge on too, and easy for both kids and adults to climb back onto after falling off or swiming to it. Lastly, it is by far the coolest looking tube on the lake.

This tube is great for the family. Safe for younger kids and an extreme ride for the older ones. This tube can fit 3-4 people comfortably. We just went out this weekend and the kids did not want to leave. Said it was the most fun he has ever had. We have now three different towables and I don't think that they will want to use anything else!! Does anybody want to buy either of my other two towables. The skull is awesome.
