Penn's best selling spinning reels, the lengendary SSgs have been improved. Major changes include infinite anti-reverse roller bearing, 5 ball bearings, Techno-Balanced rotor plus Leveline spool wrap, an anodized machined aluminum gold handle & a trip friction ramp to prevent premature bail trip when casting. Penn power drag with a sealed drag knob and a fail free bail spring complete the improvements. Outer Banks Special Edition matte black rod with gold trim features cork grips, graphite reel seat, padded stainless hoods and aluminum oxide guides with a soft tip but plenty of backbone.

Combo is well ballanced with good action. Nice size rig for casting from a boat for blues and stripers off Cape Cod.

The reel alone at most other places cost more than the set up here. The rod isn't the best but it's not to bad. The rod is a little on the heavy side but the reel can't be beat!
