The system has an integrated 4 channel amplifier that produces up to 45 watts per channel for a total system power of 180 watts. The amplifier has a distortion limiting feature that illuminates clipping at maximum gain and provides high quality sound even at full volume.
A unique Audio Port allows the addition of features such as hard wired remote controls with intercom, pre amp outputs for amplifiers (variable and fixed) plus auxiliary inputs for such sound sources as a VHF radio or a TV set.
The system may be controlled from the front panel, or by using an optional full function wireless remote that is waterproof and floats. The stereo system contains an integrated CD Changer Controller so the optional MRD6 CD Changer may be added at any time.

Comments about Poly-Planar Poly-Planar MRD-60 AM/FM/CD White Marine Radio:
Must be mounted tight and gasket must not be kinked or twisted, this radio if kept out of the weather will outlast any sony, jvc, pioneer etc. it just cannot take the face getting wet but does tollerate more than the others. where other systems die just being around miosture this system can take that no problem. But it is not waterproff like advertised (almost). There is one other thing i noticed if you spray this or any other system down with wd 40 when brand new it will last twice as long, if you want it to last remove it from boat every 3to 4 month's and dry out with a blowdryer and respray with wd 40 you will get the most out of it that way.
