Comments about Perko Perko Fuel System Locking Insert f/ 1-1/2" Vented Fills:

I have the plastic "flip top" Perko 1319 straight neck fuel fill on my boat and this thing slipped right in. A rash of fuel theft from our docks got me looking and I'm glad I got this piece of mind. I've recommended it to 3 other friend with boats on docks in the same area. Easy to use and keeps the siphon hose out of your fuel tank.

Comments about Perko Perko Fuel System Locking Insert f/ 1-1/2" Vented Fills:

I have a Chaparral 204 with a MerCruiser 5.0 MPI. It has a Perko fuel fill with a screw on cap. With the high cost of fuel I was concerned about someone stealing the fuel out of the tank. This item works great. It fits down in the fuel fill tube under the cap and locks into place. It is easy to unlock and take out plus easy to install and lock. It would be very hard for someone to remove this item without the key.

Comments about Perko Perko Fuel System Locking Insert f/ 1-1/2" Vented Fills:

I purchased the Universal fuel fill lock, but it did not fit my fuel fill, so to me it is not universal if it does not fit all. Went to Boaters World and West Marine to find a new fuel fill and could not find any, including Perko that it would work with so returned the product.

I think this product should be called a "fuel fill" instead of "deck fill" lock.

This fit my fuel fill perfectly. I have a MasterCraft with the Perko 0540 fuel fill. The lock assembly snapped pefectly inside the throat and locked the opening completely. I'm sure fuel siphoning is going to become more common with gas prices so high, so I'm glad I've got mine locked down. Thanks to the guy that sucked out 30 gallons of 2 year old stale fuel from tank. Now I'm able to fill it with fresh fuel and Stabil, and can lock it in.

Will not fit fuel filler w/ plastic caps

This product will not fit plastic cap Perko fuel fillers (Model 540, 541, etc.) without modification to remove plastic retaining strap & keeper and adding stainless steel bead chain I only found in the local hardware.
