Compact Size

Comments about Minn Kota Minn Kota Edge 70 Freshwater Bow:
Purchased this motor to replace a near 10 year old MotorGuide that has given us occassional issues. This product is very well made and is extremely quiet.
There are a couple of things I will miss from my MotorGuide.
1) The Motorguide was a fly by wire motor and thus auto stowed itself...this one has to be operated positioned for stowing...not a big deal but something to get used to
2) This motor only has 5 discrete speeds...I'm used to infinite speed control. I know MinnKota has motors with infinite speed control and auto stowing features (fly by wire)...but times are extremely tough and we needed a motor so I had to sacrifice
All in all this motor is a great value for what we paid and it is extremely quiet over our old motor. I hope to have a much more reliable 10+ years out of this motor...time will obviously tell
