Comments about ACR ACR Satellite 2 406 Category II 406 MHz EPIRB:

Bought this EPIRB after much study of the products available. Unless you need automatic deployment, this is the way to go.Instructions are easy to follow. I had a little difficulty finding a place to mount this that was both easily accessible AND at least 3 feet from any electronics or speakers ( and I have a 42ft boat. Registration (mandatory[...]) was easy over the Internet. Unit is heavy and large, but gives you confidence if you ever have to ditch or you are in trouble at sea and can't reach the coast guard or other vessel.
