This latch is constructed very well however installation instrucitn would be helpful to know what size hole is nedded to mount the latch. The fact that the mounting hole is not a complete circle would have been helpful to know. Also, the hatch that you are mounting it too must be a certain thickness or else a spacer is needed. despite these issues for the money it is a good value and is a well constructed latch.
